Mark Snyders

I was born and raised in London and I am happy, along with my wife and two children, to call London our home. After 17 years with a national firm and a large, local firm, I joined MacNeill Edmundson to work directly with clients and to help their businesses and organizations succeed. I believe in providing our clients with personal and timely service. I have worked with various not-for-profit organizations and registered charities to help meet their statutory and funder reporting obligations. I also work with small-and medium-sized businesses in a variety of sectors, including real estate, land development, construction, retail, wholesale operations, and the service sector. I also believe in giving back to the community as I am continually involved with various community organizations.

I was born and raised in London, Ontario and have always enjoyed being a part of the local community. With my mother being a CPA, I was always drawn to the accounting profession and began taking the steps required to obtain my own CPA designation at a very young age. I have always loved learning and understanding the intricacies of different businesses and seeing how they function.

In my spare time, I love all things sports, and regularly play hockey, golf and baseball. I also take every opportunity to spend time with my family and friends.

I strive to assist business owners with all of their financial needs – from assistance with routine financial reporting, to annual financial statements and the related statutory filings, to income tax and business succession planning.

I also assist not-for-profit organizations and registered charities with their annual financial statements and statutory filings, providing assurance services when required.  These clients include both local and national not-for-profit organizations and registered charities as well as condominium corporations.

I have a vast knowledge of both Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) and Quickbooks and I am able to assist clients with routine reporting as well as implementation and conversion.

When away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Marlene, and our three children, Liam, Ella and Lily.  Either with clients or in my free time, I enjoy playing sports, most notably golf, baseball and volleyball.

I believe my East Coast roots play a considerable role in how I interact with clients. I grew up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and have since made London my home. It is especially important to me to explain options and solutions to our clients in a way that is understandable and meaningful to them, and that our office is a friendly place where people like to be. I am an avid sports fan, and approach life as if it is a team sport. I have learned so much by surrounding myself with a lineup of family, friends and coworkers, and I play an active role in the coaching and development of future Chartered Professional Accountants at our firm.

I enjoy exploring just about anything new with my husband and travel buddy, and endeavor to cross a few more adventures off the bucket list each year. I love fitness, good food and wine and the great outdoors. When I’m not in the office, I can often be found on the golf course, elbow-deep in yet another home renovation or keeping up with my young family.

My goals for the future are to continue assisting our clients with their financial information, so they can focus on running their businesses, while making an impact on the London community.
